My Home

OUR HOMELAND

“Welcome to my sanctuary.”

After years of dreaming, designing, and curating, I’m beyond excited to finally take you on a detailed tour of the place I call home—and share its journey of transformation. Rooted in the wild beauty of Oregon, this space is my love letter to the rhythms of my homeland, where design and nature intertwine seamlessly. The renovation of this 1980’s country house began with months of immersion—studying the light, flow, and energy of the space—and every decision reflects that intuitive process. The process holds countless stories, but one of the first—and most transformative—was adding colonial windows to every room. I wanted to capture the vast expanse of land, ever-changing light, and frame the lush Pacific Northwest views, turning them into living works of art. A muted, earthy palette and layered textures throughout create a sense of refined coziness, grounded in place yet elevated by moments of unexpected luxury. And in a delightful twist of pastoral charm, the baby goats roaming the entryway are a playful nod to the organic vitality that infuses this home. Every detail reflects a deep connection to nature, a reverence for craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the beauty in the everyday. Welcome in.

ENTRY

This entryway is where it all begins—the space I first fell in love with. The arched doorway, reminiscent of classic European forms, invites natural light to flood the 20’ ceilings, illuminating the soft, venetian plaster walls. The rounded entry feels like a portal to another world, blending timeless architecture with moments of personal whimsy (yes, goats included). This entryway is a poetic convergence of architectural purity. A vignette of sculptural florals on a delicate vintage table brings an organic element to the scene, complemented by the earthy checkerboard flooring by Zia tile that evokes a timeless sense of grounded elegance. Nearby, the carved antique bench with its intricate lines and upholstered cushion serves as a moment of restraint, framed by the glow of antique-inspired sconces. This space feels less like a mere threshold and more like a curated gallery, where every detail harmonizes texture, tone, and touch.

THE BEFORE

LIVING

This room is a masterclass in muted opulence, where every detail feels quietly indulgent. The soaring vaulted ceilings, once an afterthought, now serve as a breathtaking frame for the natural light that pours through expansive windows, dancing across the the plaster walls reminiscent of coastal fog caught in the morning sun. I love venetian plaster as it glows softly, creating an ethereal backdrop that invites a subtle interplay of textures. I moved the fireplace, centering it with a sculptural limestone mantel that now commands the space with timeless grandeur. It’s the kind of feature that feels like it’s always been there, anchoring the room with effortless grace. Symmetrical drapery by Everhem in cascading layers of sheer linen frames the views of lush greenery, blurring the boundaries between indoors and out. It’s as if nature itself is part of the design. Every piece in this room has a story—handpicked from my personal, curated collection with family and connection in mind. The furniture, an elegant dance between vintage treasures and contemporary forms, creates an interplay of tension that feels soulful and serene.

KITCHEN & BREAKFAST NOOK

I reimagined my kitchen as a heartfelt homage to the Pacific Northwest—a space that captures the region's raw beauty and timeless charm. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the earthy, organic essence of the place I call home. The pièce de résistance? My chocolat Lacanche range—a true French masterpiece and the first item I selected, serving as the foundation for the entire kitchen design. The painted inset cabinetry, in Broccoli Brown Farrow & Ball, mirrors the deep, rich tones of the forested landscapes just beyond the windows. At the heart of the room stands a substantial island crafted from sustainably harvested white oak, topped with a marble countertop. This centerpiece brings a grounding presence, its moody brown stain and gently rounded edges evoking the organic cliffs of the Oregon coast. The island is the soul of the kitchen—a perfect balance of form and function for morning coffee or evening pinot. The unlacquered brass fixtures from Waterworks and hardware by Rocky Mountain, sourced with the help of Chown, were selected for their ability to develop a patina over time, telling a quiet story of seasons and use. Adding a personal touch, a trio of stools with custom vintage Ralph Lauren seats—one for each of my three children—brings warmth and charm, inviting connection and fostering moments of shared conversations. My breakfast nook is an ode to the poetry of daily life, and where nourishment and creativity converge.

THE DINING ROOM

For me, this dining room is about crafting a space that feels timeless, as if it’s always belonged here, growing naturally out of its surroundings. It’s about warmth, connection, and designing a place where life unfolds in its most meaningful moments. This is a room meant for years of family meals, late-night conversations, and the kind of gatherings that turn into cherished memories. The drenched paint is soft and earthy in Broccoli Brown Farrow & Ball directly inspired by the landscape just beyond the walls. We designed floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides to seamlessly invite nature in, grounding the space with a sense of intentionality and effortless beauty. Light filters through sheer curtains, creating an ever-present golden-hour glow that’s soft, serene, and a little magical. The slipcovered chairs bring an inviting, relaxed vibe, practically saying, “Sit, stay awhile.” And the chandelier, a stunning vintage piece, adds just the right amount of structure and subtle modern edge to balance the softness of the textiles. Fun fact: 90% of the lighting in all my projects is sourced vintage—it’s a small detail that adds so much soul. On the sideboard, every element tells a story. From the moody painting that feels like a window into another world to the oysters carefully displayed, each detail feels personal, collected, and meaningful. This room is a reflection of home.

THE PRIMARY SUITE

I envisioned my primary suite as a true sanctuary—a retreat designed to invite rest, renewal, and quiet moments of reflection. The transformation here was by far the most challenging, but also the most rewarding. Did you see the befores? Every awkward angle and disjointed layout has been reimagined into a serene, cohesive space that feels elevated yet entirely livable. The bathroom is a study in contrast and texture, with the freestanding tub taking center stage. Floor-to-ceiling curtains filter the light, casting the space in a soft, glowing warmth that feels almost ethereal. The transition from wide-plank oak flooring in the bedroom and vestibule to limestone tile in the bathroom gives a timeless European elegance. Dark wood cabinetry with brass hardware offers a rich, grounding presence, perfectly balanced by airy marble countertops and understated sconces. The plaster shower, framed with marble trim and warmed by brass fixtures, is a favorite detail—it feels timeless, textured, and alive. The bedroom itself is wrapped in subtle tones and soft natural materials that radiate understated luxury. Plastered walls lend an organic, earthy texture, while the scalloped edges of the bedside tables add a playful, unexpected touch. Neutral linens, layered with a plush rug underfoot, ground the space in comfort, while refined wall sconces and sheer window coverings evoke a calming, quiet ambiance. And then there’s the closet—a space that didn’t even exist before. Now, it’s thoughtfully designed to combine form and function. Open shelving keeps everything visible and accessible, while personal touches like a vintage mirror and soft textiles make it feel like an extension of the bedroom rather than just storage. This suite is a perfect balance of tailored details and effortless ease. Every choice, from the living finishes in the bathroom to the inviting textures in the bedroom, was made with the intention of creating a space where life can unfold beautifully—where rest truly feels like a luxury.

MY OFFICE

AKA where the magic happens. This is where my creativity takes root, and the transformation of this space feels deeply personal. I reimagined the original, low-slung windows with clean-lined colonial frames to capture the lush Oregonian views, turning them into living masterpieces that inspire me daily. The walls, now painted in Wainscot Farrow & Ball, radiate a moody warmth, reflecting the light in ways that feel organic and alive—perfect for designing and dreaming. I chose rich, earthy tones for the cabinetry, which beautifully contrasts with my treasured collection of vintage design books displayed on bespoke millwork. Life-sized mood boards stand as a visual diary of my process, capturing the careful planning and thousands of decisions that goes into every one-of-a-kind project. One of my favorite details is the vintage floral chair—a gesture to old-world charm that anchors the space with history and craft. What started as a static, uninspired room has blossomed into a sanctuary of thoughtfulness, intention, and creativity—a space that reflects me and my love for blending old age with elevated sophistication.

THE BEFORE

THE KID’S WING

In designing my kids' rooms, I wanted each space to feel deeply personal, warm, and reflective of the children who will grow up in them. The bathrooms are serene, with handmade zellige tiles that reflect light beautifully and timeless oval motifs that serve as sculptural features. Brass finishes punctuate the design, adding warmth and a sense of continuity throughout. For my daughter’s room, I chose Deep Reddish Brown Farrow & Ball to drench the space in bold warmth, creating an intimate environment where her imagination can truly flourish. Vintage-inspired patterns on the bedding and roman shades bring a nostalgic charm, while playful details—like a collection of toys and whimsical light fixtures—add a sense of delight and character. My son’s room, painted in Drab by Farrow & Ball, offers a calming and grounded backdrop. Soft, tactile bedding and a handmade quilt add layers of coziness and history. The unexpected details, like the tiny chair holding a basketball, keep the space uniquely personal and playful while reflecting his personality. For my eldest daughter’s room, neutral tones like her Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore walls create a foundation of understated sophistication. Every element is thoughtfully selected to exude both elegance and comfort, making the space feel timeless while allowing her individuality to shine. Each room balances whimsy with sophistication, creating environments that will evolve alongside my children but will always feel like home.
