April Musts

There’s a very specific shift that happens this time of year—it’s not just that you want warmth, it’s that you start curating it. Suddenly, the sun isn’t incidental, it’s the plan. The day arranges itself around light, around water, around that late-afternoon glow that makes everything feel just slightly cinematic—almost like you’ve stepped into your own version of The White Lotus.

My calendar is full (flights, installs, site visits, the usual movement), but in the quieter in-between moments, I keep returning to the same thought: where am I going next, and more importantly, what do I wear?

So, naturally, I’ve started packing. Not literally, but mentally—the kind of packing that happens in fragments: a linen dress you can slip into without thinking, sandals that feel worn-in in the best way, a bag that looks like it belongs somewhere coastal—even if you’re still very much in transit. Pieces that feel like they could exist poolside at a slightly too-perfect resort, with a hint of mystery just beneath the surface.

Because it’s never really about the destination. It’s about arriving as the version of yourself who has nowhere urgent to be—but might have a storyline unfolding anyway.

Sun-warmed skin. Salt in the air. Mornings that stretch.

I keep coming back to a palette that feels grounded and sun-washed, tones that blur seamlessly into one another. It makes everything feel cohesive, like it already belongs wherever I’m headed. The focus isn’t on what I’m bringing so much as how it all feels together—light, effortless, considered without trying too hard.

Accessories take on a different role here—they’re less about statement and more about subtle emphasis. The finishing touches that pull everything together, that make even the simplest moments feel slightly elevated.

Evenings shift almost imperceptibly. The same ease carries through, just with a quieter refinement. Nothing overly styled, just a gentle transition that matches the change in light and air.
