June Musts

June Musts

Every season has a personality, and June's is effortlessly charming. It's the month that reminds me to loosen my grip a little. To linger longer over coffee. To leave the dishes in the sink while the sunset is still happening. To wear the dress, make the reservation, and romanticize the ordinary.

Italy is just around the corner and my mood board has become a collection of sun-washed neutrals, feminine textures, breezy silhouettes, seaside dinners, and that unmistakable feeling of being exactly where you're supposed to be.

I've always believed that travel begins long before you board a plane.

It starts when you begin collecting inspiration. When you save the restaurant. When you imagine yourself wandering unfamiliar streets. When you choose pieces that make everyday life feel a little more cinematic.

That's the energy behind this month's musts.

Not necessarily things, but feelings. A slower morning routine. Fresh flowers on the *new kitchen counter. Open windows. Salt air. Red Wine. Fresh Grapes. The kind of outfit that requires very little thought but somehow makes you feel like the best version of yourself.

June is asking us to embrace ease. To trade perfection for presence. To create beauty in the everyday instead of waiting for a special occasion.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the European approach to summer—the way an ordinary Tuesday dinner can feel like an event, the way an afternoon walk isn't something to rush through, the way style feels less about trends and more about living well.

There is something so refreshing about that mindset. Perhaps that's what Sea La Vie means to me this month. Not chasing a perfect summer, but creating one. Choosing experiences over expectations. Collecting memories instead of things.

Challenge: Find magic in places possibly overlooked before.

A beautiful table set for no reason.

An evening spent outside.

A book you can't put down.

A spontaneous weekend drive.

A favorite dress worn on repeat.

The small moments become the big moments if we're paying attention.

As I prepare for Italy, I'm realizing that what I'm looking forward to most isn't the itinerary. It's the feeling. The slower pace. The appreciation for beauty. The reminder that life doesn't have to be extraordinary to feel rich. And fortunately, that's something we don't have to travel across the ocean to find. We can start today.

So here's to June.

To sunshine lingering later into the evening.

To saying yes more often.

To embracing a little coastal state of mind wherever you are.

Sea la vie.
