May Musts

This season, I’m craving pieces that move effortlessly through the day — thrown on after a slow morning, worn to lunch by the water, styled for a garden dinner, or folded into a leather weekender without a second thought. Easy. Breezy. Slightly undone in the best way.

Lately, I keep returning to the tones and textures that have always felt like home to me: warm cocoas, creamy knits, sun-washed tans, soft cottons, relaxed linen, woven textures that only grow better with wear. Though this season, dusty blue has quietly become part of the conversation. If you saw my recent install, you already know.

There’s something about a nature-rooted palette in late spring that feels incredibly chic without trying too hard — equal parts coastal ease and timeless femininity.

I think getting dressed should feel romantic, but never complicated.

This month’s musts are inspired by that mood entirely — foraging near the water, salty air, effortless layering, bare skin with simple jewelry, trousers that puddle perfectly at the ankle, and pieces that move beautifully from day to night. Think Nancy Meyers ease with a little Carrie Bradshaw spontaneity. Polished, but lived in. Elevated, but approachable.

I’ve also been loving the return of subtle florals woven into everything lately — whether it’s a soft all-over floral print on an easy dress or blouse, or the vintage-inspired flower brooch trend adding a romantic little detail to simple tanks and tees. It feels feminine in a way that’s playful rather than precious, and adds just enough charm to otherwise simple, neutral looks.

I’ve been sourcing pieces that feel wearable, timeless, and versatile enough to become staples you reach for constantly. The kinds of items that make you feel instantly pulled together even when your hair is still air drying and you’re running out the door with a coffee in hand.
