SEPTEMBER MUSTS

SEPTEMBER MUSTS

Much like designing a space, getting dressed is about balance. I gravitate toward tailored structure softened by natural fabrics, neutral tones made interesting through texture, and silhouettes that feel architectural without trying too hard. My closet, like my interiors, is curated. Every piece has a purpose. Nothing is louder than it needs to be. This month, I’m leaning into those quiet, luxurious details that feel as functional as they are elevated. These are the pieces I’m reaching for—studio days, site visits, late dinners that turn into even later design brainstorms.

SMOOTH OPERATOR

The leather lover’s uniform—sleek, seasonal, and undeniably pulled together.

Her world is built in polished leather: sharp trenches, fluid trousers, sculpted boots. It’s tactile minimalism with an edge.

  • At home: Chocolate hide chairs, dark walnut, a splash of oxblood in the entryway.

  • On her: A leather trench that could stop traffic, tailored trousers, and a croc-embossed anything.

  • She buys: Vintage Gucci x Tom Ford kitten heels, sterling silver jewelry, and anything that can last the test of time.

ARCHITECTURAL SILHOUETTES

Wearable sculpture. Strong lines.

Her wardrobe, like a soundtrack isn’t background noise, it commands space. Think asymmetrical hems, curated dimension, exaggerated sleeves, structured knits, and silhouettes with intention.

  • At home: Martini tables, bold ceramic lighting, vintage art. A space that feels edited and warm.

  • On her: Sharp-shouldered coats, cocoon sleeves, and minimalist palettes with maximum impact.

  • She buys: Sculptural earrings, directional boots, and anything that might earn a place in a museum or a corner café.

February Musts
As a designer, I’ve always believed in honoring transitions. The most beautiful spaces aren’t transformed overnight; they evolve. You shift a chair toward the light. You trade wool for linen.
